Returning Vehicles
Please return vehicles to the areas that were outlined by the staff that got you on your way.
Please note that if vehicles are left in Avis, Budget, Hertz, Europcar or Red spot car parks, the vehicle may occur a fine.
Street Directory
Every vehicle has in it a street directory to help you find your way around. We can also provide you with a GPS (Global Positioning System) if you require, please add it as an extra when making your booking.
Accidents
If you should be involved in an accident or there is damage to the vehicle please contact our staff immediately.
You will be liable for the excess that is on your car hire contract.
Coastal Car Hire will get the car repaired and send you the paperwork and photos that you will require to get a refund from your insurer.
Coastal Car Hire's insurance company will not cover customers that have insured elsewhere.
Airport Collections
Gold Coast International
You will find our staff waiting by the glass doors as you exit customs.
Gold Coast Domestic
You will find our staff waiting by the airlines Baggage carousal. If you arrive and find no staff waiting for you please wait 10 minutes before ringing us, as we may have quite a few customers on your flight. Please be patient and our staff will be there promptly to take you to your vehicle.
Area Restrictions
You can go as far North as Cairns and South as far as Sydney. You may go as far west as the Toowoomba ranges which is roughly 150km west of the East Coast.
Breakdowns
If in the event that a technical fault should occur please call us.
Fines
Once we receive the fine documentation we will charge you a $50 administration fee and send the fine payment to the relevant authority with a Statuary Declaration signed by a JP stating that you were in charge of the vehicle at the time of the speeding or parking infringement.
Pets
Coastal Car Hire has a NO PETS policy throughout its rental fleet. We charge a $100 cleaning fee to return the vehicle to its original state prior after your rental if required due to your failure to comply.
Fuel
Please ensure vehicles are returned with the same amount of fuel that is signed for on your rental agreement. We do not mind refuelling the vehicle for you, but please understand that fuel is charged at a higher rate to cover staff costs.
No Smoking
Coastal Car Hire has a NO SMOKING policy throughout its rental fleet. We charge a $100 cleaning fee to return the vehicle to its original state after your rental if required due to your failure to comply.
